Welcome to my journal where I'll keep you up to date on all the new Freestyle World Cup information! Here at emilycook.com is where you can find the most recent updates on events, camps and other exciting news on the aerial team. Hopefully you'll follow my teammates and me around the globe and to the podium this year!
A new chapter5/23/2010My 2010 Olympic journey is now complete and it truly was an amazing ride, I really can hardly believe it’s over! I am pretty sure most of you were following on facebook, because the amount of love and support I felt in Vancouver was overwhelming and I want to thank everyone for your messages and wall posts! Your comments carried me through the games, held me up when times were challenging and made me smile everyday. Thank you SO much. Over the next few months I will be updating news and photos from the games, so be sure to check in… What news? Though the 2010 Games are now in the past, there are many exciting adventures coming up in the future! First, the 2011 World Championships are being held in my backyard of Park City next season. Yes, Deer Valley will be hosting world champs, and after a 4th place finish in Japan last time around, and a recent US National Championships win, I am looking for redemption! After a well-appreciated break, my teammates and I are back to work, and jumped this weekend at the Utah Olympic Park pool in the snow into 46-degree water. I performed this afternoon in a show with the Flying Ace All Stars and loved every minute of it. I’m feeling healthy, happy and ready to get going after a spring filled with camping, surfing, hiking, canyoneering, rock climbing and cycling. I’m rested, happy, and psyched to get back to doing what I love everyday. So, stick around for more news. I’ll posting photos, news clips from the games, and photos and new from other adventures. |
